This morning I woke up.

Only to turn on the tv and see that Travis Barker and DJ AM were involved in a fatal plane crash. Four people died and two are in critical condition; can you guess which two of the six people in the plane are in critical condition? That's right, Travis and DJ AM. What are the chances that the two "famous" people survive while the other four people die in the crash? Well, I'll tell you, 50/50. But as I tuned into the television programming I thought for sure that one of the two of them would have died. I am thankful that two people were able to survive this horrible accident, but at the same time it got me thinking.

This story, once again, proved to me that the national media does not care about the family of the deceased. They only focus on the "thank god" aspect that the two "superstars" are alive and well. The other four "to be identified" victims of the crash were small potatoes to those media heads who again focus on ratings. It makes me sick to think of the families of the four deceased who sit and wait by their television to find out if their loved one was one of the lucky ones. They have to endure hours of national media focusing on the two survivors and their 'illustrious' careers. Who f*cking cares what Nicole Ritchie thinks? How about the children and families of the less famous ones that passed?

All I can say is this: Appreciate every passing moment and fulfill everyday like it's your last. No life is more important than any others. Treat each other as equals and most importantly...just live life. Enjoy it while it lasts.
